Gateway Hosts Tab

PROXY Pro RAS edition customers may either use the PROXY Pro Web Console to launch connections to Host computers or install the PROXY Pro Master and use it instead or in conjunction with the web console.  After first installing the PROXY Pro Master, visit the "Gateway Hosts" tab, click "Manage" and click "New" to add in your server's connectivity details.  Enter a label in the "Display Name" field, and input the server's DNS alias in the Gateway Specifier box.  If the server is reachable on the network, TCP/IP is the appropriate protocol and WSS is appropriate if the server is listening across the public internet.  See the "Adding a Gateway" section below for more information.

When a remote Host computer is configured to report to a PROXY Pro Gateway, the Host is known as a Gateway Host. To find a Gateway Host, follow these steps:

u    Choose a Gateway from the Gateway drop-down list.  Add/modify/delete Gateway entries by clicking on the Manage button (see "Add a Gateway" for more information).
u    Choose a group from the Group drop-down list. By default, this value is initially set to the All Hosts group. To add/modify/delete custom groups, please see Gateway Server Guide.  When you choose a group, all the Gateway Hosts in that group will appear in the main Master window. The list of Gateway Hosts will be automatically refreshed to reflect any changes to the group or Gateway, but you can also manually refresh at any time by clicking Refresh or choosing Gateway > Refresh Host List from the menu.
u    Optionally, enter a filter string in the Filter box to narrow down the list of Hosts.  Only those Hosts that contain the filter string somewhere in their Display Name, User, Station, Machine, or Network Address fields will be displayed in the list.  This makes it easy to find a Host with a particular name, or all Hosts with a certain user logged in, or all Hosts on a certain sub-network, etc.  Click the Clear button to erase the filter string and display all Hosts in the currently selected group.

From the Gateway Hosts tab of the PROXY Pro Master window, you can:

u    “Connect to a Gateway Host”
u    “Record screen activity on a Gateway Host”
u    “Play a recording”
u    “Add a Gateway”
u    “Manage access rights to a Gateway Host”
u    “Send Wake-on-LAN Signal”
