The recommended extension for ClickOnce Deployment is Cegid Peoplenet ClickOnce launcher v2.0 or later (formerly Meta4 ClickOnce Launcher by Meta4 Spain S.A).
PROXY Pro v8.10 and later support using the Google Chrome browser, and the "new" Microsoft Edge (v77 and later) browser, for accessing the Web Console. However, because the Web Console uses Microsoft Windows ClickOnce deployment for the Host on Demand ("Share my Desktop"), Remote Desktop Connection Window, and Recording Player Window, some additional requirements apply.
These browsers do not have native support for Microsoft Windows ClickOnce deployment. An addin is required to provide this support. There are several good choices to provide this support.PROXY Pro v10.5 hotfix#7, and later releases, support using the Cegid Peoplenet ClickOnce launcher v2.0. These versions of PROXY Pro support only version v2.0 and later of the Cegid Peoplenet/Meta4 launcher. This is the recommended extension to support ClickOnce deployment for all current PROXY Pro versions.
Earlier hotfixes of PROXY Pro v10.5 (prior to hotfix#7) and all earlier versions of PROXY Pro must either be upgraded in order to recognize the Cegid extension, or must use one of the other extensions.
PROXY v10.0 Hotfix#2+ (build 3470 or later) and PROXY v9.0.1 Hotfix#8 (build 3100 or later) support using ClickOnce for Google Chrome by menarva.com (Menarva Ltd). This is the recommended extension if the Cegid/Meta4 extension is not available or appropriate.
PROXY v10.0 Hotfix#2+ (build 3470 or later) and PROXY v9.0.1 Hotfix#8 (build 3100 or later) also support using Windows Remix ClickOnce Helper by windowsremix.com.
PROXY v10.5 Hotfix#7, and later releases, also support using Breez ClickOnce 4C by breez.
On September 7, 2024, the Cegid Peoplenet ClickOnce launcher was updated to v2.0. This version changed some internal configuration parameters in a way that prevented PROXY Pro Web Console from detecting its presence. PROXY Pro v10.5 Hotfix#7 and later supports this version of the extension.
On January 19, 2023, the extension known as Meta4 ClickOnce Launcher was updated to v1.3. This version changed some internal configuration parameters in a way that prevented PROXY Pro Web Console from detecting its presence. On January 30, 2023, the extension was updated to v1.4 and rebranded as Cegid Peoplesnet ClickOnce launcher, with the same internals. PROXY Pro v10.5 Hotfix#3 and PROXY Pro v9.0.1 Hotfix#13 support these new versions, and a patch is available for PROXY Pro v10.4 and v10.5 prior to Hotfix#3 to fix this issue.
