PROXY Pro Master can operate over any type of network, including Ethernet, token ring, and FDDI, provided that the network supports the TCP/IP, UDP/IP or SSL protocols.
The following conditions apply:
uIP is a general-purpose protocol supported on a wide variety of networks and servers. To enable communication using TCP or UDP over IP, you must enable the Microsoft TCP/IP Protocol (or you can use another WinSock 2 compliant IP stack).
uThe SSL protocol runs above TCP/IP and below higher-level protocols such as HTTP or IMAP. Using TCP/IP on behalf of the higher-level protocols allows an SSL-enabled server to authenticate itself to an SSL-enabled client, and both machines to establish an encrypted connection.
uThe WebSocket protocol runs above HTTP or HTTPS. PROXY Pro uses the binary WebSocket protocol over HTTP (which in turn is over TCP) as well as over HTTPS (which in turn runs over SSL). For plain WebSocket (WS) connections over HTTP, PROXY Pro uses the same encryption used for TCP connections. For Secure WebSocket (WSS) connections, the connection is encrypted and secured by the underlying HTTPS/SSL connection.
uThe PROXY Pro UDP, TCP and SSL transports fully support IPv4 and IPv6 addressing.
